I spent 15 years as an actor in my 20's and early 30's before moving on to become Artistic Director of three different theatres. At the time I was best known for playing the regular character of Francis ‘Taffy’ Edwards in Thames TV’s The Bill and was involved from the programme’s pilot in 1983 right through the ensuing 6 years. I appeared in roughly 150 episodes.
